Happy Easter Plaque

Spring is here and Easter is right around the corner!  So, it is the perfect time to create a bright and cheery Easter plaque with Joy embroidered letters to make it oh so easy!! 

You will need:

• Joy® Embroidered Letters - 1 1/2" Cooper, White, HAPPY EASTER
• Ann Butler Designs Oval Mini Ovals from StencilGirl® Products 
• Ann Butler Designs Iridescents from Earth Safe Finishes: Lagoon, Berry, Lilac
• Acrylic Paint: Bright Yellow, White
• Stickles:  Cotton Candy 
• Wood Plaque: 18" x 5"
• Daubers
• Paintbrush
• Iron
• Paper towels

Instructions: 1.  Paint the entire plaque (except trim front) yellow.  Let dry.  Give it a second coat if needed.  Paint the trim edge white.  Let dry.  Give it a second coat, let dry. 2.  Arrange the letters to determine where you want them, then you will know where to stencil.

3.  One at a time, place the stencils in the desired location...apply a small amount of Berry onto the dauber, dab off the excess onto the paper towels,  Then, pounce over the stencil to fill in with color.  Lift a corner of the stencil to see if you have the desired coverage, place back down if needed or lift off and let dry.

Repeat for the Lilac and Lagoon.

 4.  Arrange the letters as desired.

5.  Iron in place following manufacturer's instructions, or glue.

6.  Randomly apply Stickles in open areas to finish.  Let dry.
