Upcycled Gift Box

A gift for Mom!

Upcycle a cheese container to create a gift box for your Mom or other special person.

You will need:

• JOY® Script Letters - 1 1/2"  white 
• Round cheese container
• Scrapbook paper
• Acrylic paint
• ColoriQue inks
• Bead trim 
• Pearl cabochons
• Glitter paint
• Scissors
• Die and die-cut machine,
• Paintbrush
• Tacky glue
• Toothpicks

1.  Choose letters for a short name, nickname or initials.  Create the color you want by blending the inks then paint the letters.

2.  Paint the inside and sides of the box with acrylic paint.

3.  Trace around the lid and bottom of the box onto paper then cut out.  Use a paintbrush (or sponge brush) to spread a thin layer of glue on the surface of the top and bottom of the box, then press the paper cut outs in place. 4. Glue letters and trim to the top then add die cut flowers, hand-cut leaves and cabochons or pieces of trim as shown.  Add touches of glitter paint to background, letters and flowers to finish.
