Do you like to give your family gifts? I sure do! I recycled this fall basket I had made last month and passed on the love by using Joy embroidered letters to personalize it for a Christmas gift.
Materials used:
White Joy letters: 1" block and 3/4" script
Green chipwood basket
Red berries from a spray
Key ornament
Chalkboard star ornament
White paint marker
Christmas pine garland
Wire cutter, scissors
Craft stick
Hot glue
Instructions:
Start at the back of the basket and wrap the garland around it, making two rows. Glue to secure.
Cut the berries apart leaving at least 1" of stem. Glue them into the garland, spacing them around the basket as shown in the photo.
Outline the edges of the chalkboard star with the white marker.
Lay out the letters first to get them spaced correctly and glue to the star.
Tie the star to the basket handle and attach the key ornament in the same manner. Apply a bit of glue to hold them in place.
Spread some snow medium on the top of the garland using the craft stick. Use a light touch on the berries to avoid concealing them. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Fill your basket with goodies of your choice. Some stove-top potpourri is always a great homespun gift - you can find lots of recipes online.
This is the season for giving! Enjoy!
