It is so easy to dress up a inexpensive dollar store candle with iron-on embroidered letters from Joy!
I keep a little container of left over bits from other Christmas projects - so I grabbed some odds and ends, along with some ribbons and went to work. NOTE: I ended up using the red letters, rather than the black ones shown above.
I started by hot-gluing a wide burlap ribbon to the candle, then adding a fluffy silver bow. I filled in around the bow with lots of small embellishments from my jar. I ironed my Joy letters onto a medium-width grosgrain ribbon, cut it to length, then glued it to the candle. To finish off, I added glitter glue to a few of the pieces for some sparkle. Look for Joy iron-on letters at your favorite arts and crafts store!
