Adding a simple monogram to a project can make all the difference.
I have not done hand embroidery in years. I have forgotten how much I enjoyed it and how relaxing it is. I recently took a class with friends and we completed this super cute project. Once the project was done I felt like it needed a little extra something to finish it off and give it some polish.
Small Script Monogram to the rescue! I dug through my stash and pulled out my initial. The "A" was a bit too large for the heart so I settled on the "S" for my last name instead. I followed the instructions found here to adhere my letter to the felt heart.
It looks so much better now! I am going to hang it in my studio for a fun bit of décor.
You can find Joy iron-on embroidered letters and letter sheets at your local craft store. They're available in different colors and sizes and the white ones can be colored!
This is so adorable. I really like the look of embroidery. I've wanted to try some hand embroidery for my homemade journals. I love the colors that you've chosen, so bright and cheery. It really does make make me joyful.
