My youngest granddaughter is turning one this month. The theme is flamingos, so I created this bright tropical banner to tie onto her high chair.
You will need: Joy® Iron-on letters, 3" script
Fabric Paint and stiff nylon fabric brush Kunin® Friendly felt - green Kunin® Classic felt - 2-4 bright colors Fabric in bright colors for the strips Burlap ribbon or string Die cut machine - flower and leaf dies Hot glue and glue gun Brush, scissors Instructions: 1. Paint the letters while still on the backing, using a pouncing motion with a stiff brush.
2. Cut 3 leaves and 6 or more flowers from felt. To create a tropical leaf pattern draw a heart-shaped leaf, then draw around your finger to create the indentations.
3. Cut the string to desired length. Tear 1" strips of fabric then tie onto the string (or ribbon) with either a lark's head, or simple knot. 4. Iron or glue one letter to each leaf. Use hot glue to adhere the leaves to the garland. Add flowers as desired. 5. Tie around the front of a high chair or display on a table or wall. Enjoy the party!
Joy® Iron-on letters are available individually, or in sheets in a variety of colors, sizes and fonts at your local craft stores.
